My 29th birthday and the first one that I have ever spent so far from family.
One of my friends here at the church planned a little party down at Henry and Shirley's. I was excited for the distraction, hoping that I wouldn't miss my family too much.
At the start of the party, I noticed that everybody was bringing gifts and I started to get embarrassed. But, the joke was on me. See, back on Kyle's BD everybody came over and I ran out of coffee cups :( So, every present had a different kind of coffee mug in it! They also cooked traditional South African foods and gave me the recipes. It was a wonderful gesture and really made the day special!
