Girls just wanna have fun!

The other missionary wife (Heidi) decided it was time for some "girly" fun. So, we all met at Vanessa's home for pizza, hair dying, mud masks, and new finger nail colors. It was great fun and very relaxing. Just so you know . . . I wasn't brave enough to dye my hair. I just helped!

I was looking through all our holiday pics and completely forgot about the Christmas play at church! Usually, the teens do a reading and the little kids act it out. Well, Emily was Mary this year and quite comical! She loved on baby Jesus, hide her face from the crowd, took off her head piece and "fluffed up" the manger. Ethan (playing Joseph) also had a part in the snickers heard throughout the audience. Abby was an angel and really enjoyed the singing.

We had a lovely day which started by arriving at church at 7am. Kyle and I help with the morning service and have to be there an hour before it begins. Most churches here in South Africa have a Christmas service. It was a lovely time of celebrating our Savior's birth.
After the service, I finished cooking some food and heading down the street to our Pastor's home. It was a full house with other missionaries, the pastor's grown children, friends from the church and friends from Durban.
It was quite hot, so we rented a big blow up water slide. It was supposed to be for the children, but the adults had quite a bit of fun also!
