1st exam completed!

What a relief to have our first set of Zulu tests behind us. Monday, we took a written and oral exam and today we went over the results . . . we both passed. Sister Biyela was happy with our progress and video taped our oral exams so that we could look back later and see the progress we've made! It still feels like we have so far to go, but everyday we see an increase in our vocab and know that one day we will be able to "chat right along".
Below are links to our oral Zulu exams . . . don't laugh :)

Lizard

This is a lizard that lives around my front wall. They come out all the time to sun. Such beautiful colors!

Bugs!

I'm still getting used to the size of the bugs! They seem a hundred times bigger than the ones that crawled around my home in Michigan. Once and awhile I still jump at the gecko by my door handle when I come home at night time, the frog found in my sink, the cock roach in my closet or the larger than life beetle in the garage. For those of you who know about my horrible fear of spiders . . . there is a spider here that chases you! Actually, the spider is chasing the shade of your shadow. BUT TO ME, it feels like a personal attack :)
On the brighter side, we have some beautiful lizards that run along our wall and the golden finch are big and bright!
It's amazing to see the diversity (even down to the bugs) in which God has created the world!
