Yes, we are heading into winter. This is the outfit Emily came out wearing one evening. We thought it was so funny because it isn't actually that cold.
Construction is well underway for the Calvary Care Home. I constantly hear from the girls, "Can we drive by the church and see what they are building today?" They have been so excited and eager to be a part. Luckily, the construction workers don't mind and humor them a bit!
The school year ends early December which allows for a lot of end of the year celebrating. We hosted back-to-back youth events at our home. First the Jr. Youth showed up played and left, then the senior youth came for pizza and a white elephant gift exchange. That was a ton of fun!
As much as we love Sadie (our part collie), she isn't very intimidating at the front gate. So, after some checking around, we found this lovely puppy that people were giving away. Kodiak is her name and she a nice mixture of a few bigger breeds. The girls were thrilled with her!
As soon as Kyle got back in the country, a Zulu Pastor friend called him up and asked him to do some baptism teaching and lead a baptisimal service for his church. Pastor Clement had come to realize that even though their church had several years back broke away from the Zionist church to embrace salvation by faith alone, his church member and him included had never been properly baptized. So Kyle spent one Sunday doing a lot of teaching and then will go back out on the 21st and do a big baptisimal service. We are so excited! The pictures are of the teaching time.
On Sept 23nd we touched back down in the land that is slowly becoming my home. I say slowly because there are times that missing my family almost becomes painful, but returning brought a smile to my face and a great feeling of familiar. It was great to touch base with friends, buy foods that we can't get in America and enjoy our first REALLY hot day.
The picture of Natalie in the wrap on the plane is pretty much how she travelled. The 15 hour stretch of the flying was a little tedious, but she did great! Abby and Emily are already seasoned travelers and always find ways to entertain themselves.

Kyle's brother took some family pictures for us. Thanks Ryan!
